1) A PAL OR MULTI-SYSTEM TV is required to watch PAL DVDs INSIDE the USA!
2) This international version unit does NOT have a built in NTSC/ATSC (American) TV tuner! An outside source, such as Cable Box or Satellite Receiver, is required if you want to record USA television programs.
3) This recorder will NOT convert the signal between PAL or NTSC! If you want to convert PAL to NTSC or NTSC to PAL, then you must also buy a Video Signal Converter.
4) This unit Records TV/Cable programs ONLY where the broadcasting is in the PAL system! There is NO built-in NTSC or ATSC Tuner. This means that while you can use this recorder here in the USA, you CANNOT record TV channels by directly connecting an antenna or coaxial wire. You will need to connect a Cable Box or Satellite Receiver to record the TV programs.
5) This recorder will record PAL to PAL and NTSC to NTSC. This means that if you provide a PAL signal then it will record in the PAL format and if you provide an NTSC signal then it will record the NTSC format.
